Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Psychologist at Fort Leavenworth, KS 

This position offers:

The Position will have the following requirements:

• A Doctoral Degree in Psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• A minimum of one year within the past five years in the practice of clinical psychology, preferably in a Government setting such as a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State

Key Duties Include:

• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical manual of Disorders.
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
• Assesses and resolves complex social, economic, and psychosocial problems that may impact on service members’ and their families’ medical treatment as outpatients by providing direct casework services, to include screening, assessment, treatment, referral, consultation, and education and in conjunction with DoD PDH-CPGs.
• Assesses and resolves complex social, economic, and psychosocial problems that may impact on service members’ and their families’ medical treatment while the service member is being evaluated for medical discharge from the service by providing direct casework services, to include screening, assessment, referral, consultation, and education.
• Conducts psychosocial evaluations and provides therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed to facilitate mental health clinical care management and optimize care.
